Saturday 22nd of
August was indeed a remarkable day in the Nigeria movie industry, as 3 movie
stars tied the knot with their heart throbs in grand style, converging movie
stars and other entertainers from different sectors. The first was the exchange
of marital vow between fast rising actor Mofe Duncan and his half Nigerian, half
Indian wife, Jessica Kakkad. The light skinned beauty whose father is late, was
born to an Indian business mogul and a Benin mother and is also a very popular
figure in the music industry. Though she works behind the scene with a lot of
big music stars, the curvy babe got engaged to the TV host cum actor in April
and few months later, he walked her down the aisle. The traditional marriage
took place on the 20th of August 2015, while the white wedding
followed two days after in Ikoyi, Lagos. The two events witnessed the presence
of many showbiz stars, the likes of Juliet Ibrahim, Bryan Okwara, Enyinna
Nwigwe, Akpororo, Oge Okoye, Gordons, Mc Shakara, among several others. Another
movie star who got married same day was pretty actress, Lilian Esoro who plays
Nurse Abigail in soap Opera Clinic Matters.
The talented act got married to her
long- time lover, Ubi Franklin who is Iyanya’s Manager and owner of Made Men
Records.
The couple however took all by surprise, following
the controversy that rocked their engagement, when it was announced. So messy
was it that both parties deleted their pictures from their personal Instagram account,
little did the public know they were just being deceived as the couple went
ahead to plan their secret introduction ceremony. The event which finally held
at the bride’s family residence in lekki and had a lot of showbiz stars in
attendance. The likes of Emony and his wife, Harrysong, KC, Jimmy Jat, Mc
Galaxy, Iyanya, Teckno, Linda Ejiafor and several others. The bride dazzled in
a fuscia pink and cream attire while her husband was garbed in white
traditional attire with red cap.
Another actor who
wedded same day is Nosa Rex, an award winning popular Asaba based actor. He tied
the knot with his heartthrob, Deborah Raphael in Owerri, Imo State with a
traditional and white wedding ceremony that took place same day. In attendance
were many actors like Mike Godson who was the best man, Mike Ezuruonye, Laclass
Ozuougwu, Chuks Omalicha and several others.
